Sometimes I question whether sanity is really healthy…to be able to block out what disturbs me to get through the day. Maybe those who have become overcome with all the pain of this world are more in touch with reality than the rest of us- they refuse to turn off all those things we hide away from ourselves. They see things as they are, regardless of the effect on their psyche. So if it’s possible that insanity is to see and to be impacted by everything and sanity is to see some things and to ignore others, then what moral or even personal obligations do we have in knowing this?...
